Hi David.
Nice job did you use wet n dry then paste, also did you remove the front bumper, we sometimes do these on the R40 MGZT at the nano, Devlish also does the Halo's, hope the clutch job goes smooth for you, did one last year on a relations FL is went the same cheers Arctic.

PS yes I am on here too ;)

Hi Arctic,
Seems like MG ZT's and freelanders make a good pair.

No, didn't remove the bumper, just masked it and used a Meguires rest pack, mild abrasive and a coating, (used it on the MG)

Clutch job on Saturday..

Cheers

I would appreciate a detailed explanation on how you achieved this showroom effect.
My headlights are awful even after cleaning so could do with trying your method of cleaning them.

Hi, I decided to use a restoration kit (link below). It includes a bottle of fine cutting compound and a few applicator pads. so elbow grease is required or a DA police, which I used. If your headlights are really bad I would suggest you probably need a slightly coarser compound (or 1200 wet n dry) before using the fine stuff.
I know people suggest using brasso, tooth paste etc they are all abrasives.

However the part that gives it the final finish is a spray coating giving a protective layer.

I've done two cars so far and reckon I have enough to do 2 or 3 more with the cutting compound and probably 8 to 10 with the protective coating.
