Headlight function

Hi all,
When I got my defender it had those cheap generic led headlights fitted that were terrible.

I’ve just fitted so new wipac normal bulb headlights and while I was there I fitted one on those boomslang looms.

Lovely and bright now so great success but I’ve noticed something I never noticed before.

Low beams work fine
When I pull the stick to flash, high beams come on with low beams.
When I push the stick for high beams, the high beams come on but the low beams go off.

Is this how they’re suppose to work? If not would it be defender wiring or something to do with the boomslang loom?

You will also notice there is a slight delay when the low/high change iover. There is a second of darkness.
