Hi all, been carrying out some wireing on the headlights today few issues that have happened that I can live with but not sure if it's ok for MOT. When I flick switch to side lights the main beam comes on too! When switch is fully down the high beam comes on! The indicator stalk allows me to flash lights but not flick forward to high beam, can only do this with switch fully down. Thanks

Have you got the wiring right? Sounds like youve got the low beam and high beam going to the same switch instead of going to the stalk for high

Mine had similar fault with stalk, side lights and dipped headlight switch is fine but for a week or so if I pushed stalk forward for high beam all lights went out but the main beam flash worked, then after a week of this the flash has stopped working, I thing rubbing the contacts on the stalk might work but not had time to look yet, so your problem could be bad contact???

Will not pass mot like that.
Have you got a good earth on the front panel for the headlights.
The flash function is supplied direct from a fuse on a ser 3 .
The dipped beam should only come on in second position of light switch.
Check which connection it is on the switch that same supply feeds main beam when the column switch is put on main beam
