P38A Head Gasket Symptoms?

Hi
Got a 4.6 P38 that I've just bought.
Previous owner reckons the head gasket is gone.
Car is leaking a red-ish fluid and the exhaust is blowing a white smoke.
Can't tell if it's running rough because this is my first land rover, so I don't know what they're like.

Any ideas?

Yeah sounds about right pretty typical symptom but their are others a simple search will help you

Pull out the plugs one by one and see if they are steam cleaned if you find one, gasket has gone on that cylinder.
