HDC (warning light)

Hi there just new on today a wee question, my good lady just got herself a 2001 freelander. Problem is she phoned saying the HDC warning light is staying on!!!, i phoned the garage she got it from and he seams to think its nothing (indeed) me on the other hand thinks its a problem.
The garage says to take it back and he'll have a look at it, i dont want him to fob us off by saying its not to worry about.!!
So i was wondering if any you kind people out there can tell me what is causing the hdc warning light to come on.

wrong - its a light to tell you that HDC has been switched on by a button by the gear lever.
Sometimes it does come on in error, but as stated previously the reasons for this are very common and have been mentioned many times.

first - check the button hasnt been pressed accidently and then check the wires to the button and then fur the other things that you will find easily on this forum.

please, PLEASE, do a search.
