Hi All
I know you probably seen this title number of times and new battery is the most common solution to the most problems but I search through the forum and could not find the answer.
so from the start
a week ago an early morning jumped in the landi and off on to the M25. 6 miles in to my journey and the engine just dies so quickly pull to the hard shoulder and stopped. try to start the car again but no luck just the above fault of the dash.
quick google search highlighted that it can be just a duffed battery.
so I got the recovery truck and the mechanic changed the battery but no luck starting the landi
I got towed to the garage where after 4 days waiting I was told it's the fuel pump inside the tank not working so they got new pump put in but still no luck.
just got of the phone with the garage and I was told that because the fuel tank pump was not running and car was attempted to start it make run the high pressure pump on the engine dry and that caused it to burn out so this need to be replaced now.
I've been working on motorcycles since I was 14 so I do know a bit about the them and all this sound to me like one big bol****s so just want to ask if it actually make sense what the mechanic told me or my gut is proving me right.
much appreciate all the help
