Hi Folks - Anyone had this before?
Occasionally after switching the ignition off on my S reg XEDI the rear wiper makes one pass over the rear window. This happens even if the wiper has not been used for days. Very odd! Anyone else had this or know what causes it?

Could be a dodgy relay. Mine auto wipes if I select reverse gear and the front wipers are on. Good idea until you have a bike rack mounted on the spare wheel. TWANG !!! Bye bye wiper arm.
Note to self: Must order new one before selling Freelander.

Sounds like the self parking brush worn or out of alignment [self parking] is if you flick wipers on and off , it will always return to its park position, so if its just creeping near the cam , next time yer switch on or orft your ign = one sweep to park. . .:)

Lol....put the bike rack on the other day and was making a mental note as I did - DO NOT USE THE WIPERS - DO NOT USE THE WIPERS.....
Cheers folks - as long as its not some wierd warning from the ECU that my engine is gonna fall out I will put up with it!

According to the manual if the wiper makes a pass after switching the igntion on your engine is about to fall out. Oops, looks like Tinytdi beet me on that information ;)
