Heres a thread for the lads from Harper to put some vids up.

Ill start with a video from todays lecture:

well ill stick a quick few pics up. in these pics, we were doing a "scientific" tractor pull with 3 different land rovers. the aim was meant to be the comparision between tyre sizes (235/85 315/75) and seeing the difference in drawbar pull. we then also used the disco (265/75) to see the differnece of weight on the drawbar pull. the disco is Mine, the 110 is Langers and the S3 is Discomikeys







These numbers is the drawbar pull to weight of vehicle ratio.

Seems to me that you chaps are having a lot of fun whilst learning - whereas I'm getting beasted and not having as much time as I should messing with the landy!

well mostve the classroom lectures are naps.... at least this way we can have shed loads of fun. and then have it explained to us why what happened

i learnt more that lecture than i have in the others!

my cleaner for the flat says that my room is too much like a workshop now.. propper toolbox, 6 wheels and tyres, landy bits and pieces of steel everywhere haha

does look like its about to take on the artic though!

cheers mate. yeah i still need to respray the wings, bonnet and doors but apart from that its pretty much finished.

Yeah, Looks like that hilux from Top Gear Out of interest, What do you pay for insurance on the Disco? I am thinking about getting a Disco, and whilst I pay £800 a year on the 110, They want 3K for a Disco WTF? The NFU do confuse the life out of me sometimes!

Erm, Come to a standstill

The 110 is the world's most unreliable vehicle, and the whole time I have had it, I have not had time to work on the Series 3! So I am thinking of selling the 110, Buying a Disco and get the S3 built!

cost me 1600 for the disco when i was 18 with no NCB and just under a year driving experiance, now looking at about 1000/1200 for me being 19 with 1 NCB and 10,000 miles a year.

That is more like it! Who is that with?

acadamy insurance. they do it through aviva, the only other competitive insurance company was elephant or admiral (which are the same company anyway) thats a '94 300tdi ES manual with mods declared (winch bumper, snorkel, winch, spotlights and steering guard.)
