Hi guys!
Have been considering this for a bit and have searched and enquired, but have not come to a solid conclusion yet..
The situation i have is i own a 2.5 DSE 96 with remote steering wheel(not working) standard Clarion headunit and 6 CD in Boot...A very good system i think!!
My Dads brought a 2.5 DSE Plus on a 99 with remote steering wheel,Same Clarion headunit and same 6CD in Boot, but he has the bonus of full Harmon Kardon System fitted..Which he has kindly said i can swap over as the slight quality improvement will not effect him...
My question is,other than a simple unbolt n change of speakers..Are there any seperate amps or loom i will have to swap?Or does the Harmon system require too much work to swap over?
Many Thanks for any advice........
Happy Christmas to you all and Enjoy the holidays..
Cheers Tel

Yes, there are lots of extra bits here and there in various locations - you will need to change the whole system over including the amps (and probably the wiring loom as well). I wouldn't bother to be honest for two reasons - 1, The stupid amount of time it will take you and 2, Once you've done it, you can't just stick a standard head unit in the vehicle if the original dies (pretty common!). You'd be better off buying a new, good quality head unit if you want a better sound system.
