Hello all,
Finally got my MY99 4.6 lpg after a long search and missing my classic after selling it. Firstly, can someone confirm that the hydraulic tappets are the same on this engine (Thor) as the earlier version, as I want to order a set but the fella cannot confirm.
Secondly, It has the HK sound system fitted but the head unit and CD changer have been changed to pioneer. All works including the Sat Nav but the sound is very muffled on the LH side to all doors, and the Sub does not seem to be working either. Checked wiring visually and all seemed to be ok. The sound from the RH side is quality. Any Idea's would be helpful.
Cheers
Del:)

Hopefully I'm wrong, but have you thought about having your hearing checked > sounds like your right ear may be 'playing up' a bit.
On a serious side though, I would imagine there to be a loose connection or bad connection somewhere on the wiring. You may also have conversion plugs fitted to allow the pioneer to be fitted and I would personally check this plug first as it is most probably the location of any bad wiring.

i would go on ebay and buy an origional head unit why on earth would the previous owner change a alpine standard head unit with a pioneer the harmon kardon system sound the bollocks in mine and would never dream of changing it just my apinion
