Freelander 1 hard to start engine warning light stay on

went too help mate with flat tire last night go sorted. on way home my freelander td4 stopped and no go,had to call my mate to tow me home. tried to start today got going but not good dash engine light staying on the one with ! in the symbol any ideas please

Almost impossible to tell with so little information. If the light is on, then there'll be a code to read. That will give a clue as to what is wrong.
Check the low pressure fuel pump is running and check the rail sensor for corrosion. Otherwise a code reading session is your best bet.

thanks nodge68. found problem.turned out to be faulty plug on fuel pressure senser,cleaned connecters and closed turmials,sorted light out.starts great and going ok thanks again mate
