Have looked at forum questions/answers but can"t find one that relates to mine.
2003 Freelander TD4 Automatic.
Sometimes when I park it on the driveway(Shingle) and leave it for a day or three when I go to reverse out the handbrake sticks. If I put it into Forward drive it unsticks it. It doesn"t happen everytime and it"s never happens when I park it in a car park for four or five hours or less.
cheers

Shoes rust to drum when left for a while. It just happens!!

I leave my auto in park with handbrake off, the park locks 4 wheels not 2 and doesn't stick!!!

Expanders need cleaning in the drum, condensation or wet weather will also help the shoes faintly rust the shoes to the drum, if left for days etc, any car that is going to be left for long periods months, years, should not have the hand brake on, choc the wheels instead.

It happened to my SE last weekend, although to be fair, I'd not driven it since March, :eek:and unusually I put the HB on, which I never do.

It does, which is why I normally don't bother with the HB, except for this last time, and the MOT of course. :D
