Too busy ready everyone elses posts I forgot to stick this up yesterday.
I'm struggling to remove my front o/s halfshaft. I should say it is a 24 spline and the diff has an ARB locker. All just new to me, but theres a few things that need doing. The front swivel housing etc has all been stripped down and if I could get the half shaft out I could then remove the swivel and do the seal. I don't really want to go down the route of cutting a new seal to fit it.
The half shaft will pull out an inch or so by hand and then it jams. A gentle tap and it will go back in. No matter how much you wiggle & twist it just jams.
Does the ARB locker have something that would prevent it pulling out? Or is it just a worn shaft. It's been suggest I remove the other side and with a very long drift I drive it out. However - my garage is only wide enough to faciltate removal of one wheel at a time.![Mad  ](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Any help greatly appreciated.
