Had enough it's going on eBay

yes it looks like it's not the head gasket. So after spending a packet on other new components, only to fix the original misfire I now have a different problem, overheating and it looks like more than I expected and may be the cylinder head. So before I put it back together if anyone is interested it's on eBay. Just want to get rid now, I will lose a packet & it will be a great buy for someone in parts value alone. forgot to add it comes with a Faultmate, also software & cable for EAS & of course an unused set of gaskets & head bolts. And a camchain tool.

surely bmw cylinder heads are easy to come by, have you had the original head pressure tested?

It would be locked to the car VIN so you would have to buy the licences which are the expensive bit

eBay have removed my item from sale because I used naughty words "make me an offer" and this breaches their rules & implies I want to sell outside - I didn't.
However I now have to take their 15 minute on-line tutorial if I want to re-list - who do they think they are ffs

Yes the Faultmate would have to be unlocked so it's hardly worth it to be honest.

sassenach, you are right I should take a couple of days. But as I only have a few hours a week to work on it it has taken me a few weeks to get this far, so am a bit fed up. However I may put it all back together and try some of this SteelSeal head gasket fix and repair product fixes blown headgaskets & Cracked Blocks
you never know it might work.

had this problem with a toyota, would travel round town all day no prob, hit t road at 60 70 and t temp would go up same as you , drove me cracked till i changed t rad,. problem solved. t modern rads are very small and need to be 100% , I D GIVE IT ANOTHER GO , human made human fixed, the next man will fix it and will say he got a great deal.
