Hi all,

I am going to be camping in Betws-y-coed in the first week of april and was wondering if there was anywhere we could do any green laning in the area. It would have to be pretty easy stuff as neither of the landys have winches or any sufficient guards . Just bought my landy this month so not had any time to do anything with it yet. It did come with diff guards though :p lol

Anway, all help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Buy an OS map for the area and look out for the BOATS, plenty going on up there. IF it starts looking to technical then back out. You should be able to do most greenlanes in a standard landy (providing its reletively dry) especially with another vehicle to pull you out.

Buy a rated tow strop for each vehicle before you go along with a few shackles. A Jate ring on each vehicle should also sort you out.

Just been trawling through past posts and am thinking of giving the corwen carwash and the wayferer ago???

Next thing to do is get some all terrain tyres as i bought it with road tyres on :S if i couldnt get any intime would it not be wise to give it ago, looking at the vids on youtube it seems ok, especially if i have another landy to give me a tow if needs must!!

Thanks

A lot of the lanes in that area have been restoned in the last 6 months or so. You should be ok if you take heed of the info above.

Hi

I went green laning round north Wales a few weeks and did a lane in Betws-y-coed which was quite entertaining as a beginner.

It starts at Pont-Cyfyng and ends just near Dolwyddelan if that's any help!

Sod the green laning.....take a Kayak!!! some of the best white water in the country down there!!!!!!!!
