Spyderman, myself and Discobasher ar heading out over Ashwell way (Herts) on Sunday. Anyone else up for a little gentle trundle down the byway from hell?

Hi i could do an early morning drive, would have to aim to be back to Surrey for about 3 in the afternoon. If that's OK post a time and meeting place or if you want email me a contact Number and i'll give you a call later. [email protected]

29 bleedin hours! This has to be longest day's laning in history... if it weren't for a handy farmer and Discobasher I'd stil be there!

Many thanks to Jai for coming to try to recue us despite having cleaned the motor... and of course to Spyderman for taking the family home when everything finally went tits up!

God is sending me message..... I think I need a disco.

Ryder now, din't someone once say, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, or should that be get me stuck once...

What you need is not a disco, though that would be an improvement, but the better part of valour!

Urban... you are right... should have walked th damn thing first. But at least a disco would have got me home the same day! Piccys will follow

Ryder,
That is a lane to scratch from the list. I've no desire to drive a lane in such poor condition, in fact driving it or lanes like it just gives the anti's ammo. Thing is we drove it earlier in the year with out real problems, shame we couldn't have turned around. It's been chopped up pretty badly by tyres much bigger than ours, making it undrivable for average tyre sizes. Come on guys, 36" tyres do us no favours.

36" tyres have nothing on the ones that tractor was wearing! I agree though spyderman, we would not have attempted this lane if we had done a proper recce... but being further into the summer you expect that it will be easier than it was in March.

70 quid next time shout me I got load sitting here will be cheaper lol. As for getting stuck again tut tut! I personally wouldn't have left my mota there i would have used the turfur till it was out or i died! Getting the kids home was priority so well done! Ryder if you fancy doing some challenging stuff im going to a trial end of the month, they will even let anyone over 14 drive the gentil courses after being signed on, but mota must be all mechanically sound i.e. Mot-able, ill let you know Jai
