Grand Vitara 2L stalling

Any ideas on what may cause my wifes 2L Grand Vitara to stall.

Originally the stall would only happen 2-5 minutes after starting from
cold.
Recently the engine stalled when slowing down after a 50 minute
motorway run.

As this may be hard to reproduce by the dealer I was hoping that there
may be some things that I could check first.

Thanks in advance

Nick

Does it have an idle control valve? If you can find it try cleaning
it with some aerosol carb cleaner.

if the 2000 has an ECU it would be worth getting it hooked up to an analyser
at a Suzuki dealership which could save you much time and money looking
elsewhere.

sorry forgot, the ECU = Electronic Control Unit. This unit logs malfunctions
in the engines electronics. Those that relate to timing, temperature, vacuum
etc
