Just come across this site and thought i'd join in.
I caught the landrover bug after buying a freelander
a couple of years ago. I have now moved on to a series II
discovery TD5 which i have had for a year.
I think the Discos great but have had a few main
dealer issues.
It currantly has a rear off side air suspension problem
which i am hoping somebody reading this will be able
to shed some light on?
Every now and then the rear offside suspension sinks right
down. It returns to correct ride heights once driven again
and is then fine. If anyone has an idea what may be wrong
please could you let me know.
Many thanks

Hi most problems on the air suspension are normally the height sensors screwing upand loosing there signal, they are quite cheap to replace about £25 i believe and quite easy to change will tell you how if you really want to know.

Thanks for the info. where abouts are the height sensors mounted as I will have a look in the morning. The suspension only drops after the ignition is off (i think)

Hi if your suspension drops after switch off you have an air leak, sorry would have said this if you had told me that first, get an garden sprayer about 3 quid at b&q put a few drops of washing up liquid and water toegether and lets go and make bubbles, put it into max ride height spray the air bag on the side thats going down look for small bubbles, also check the air pipes these run down the nearside from the compessor, black box under passender side to the rear air bags, you will find a leak some where.
