hey my glove box light on my discovery 1 300tdi is not working but the bulb is fine as i have tested in other light can anyone help

it is a small switch which must close and feed the lamp when u open the glovebox......on Disco 2 is at the bottom, i dunno where it is on yours but it must be around there ....check it.

Is you n/s front side light working ? as the glove box light is on the same circuit, if not check fuse.

Are you trying it with the discos lights on? I.e turned to dipped beam on the stalk?
