Hi all,
I thought it was time to say hello and thanks for all the info you guys and gals have put up for us newies on the block.
I have a 2001 Freelander V6 Auto.
I use this lovely machine for commuting to work along the winding roads of the Far South of Tasmania. Its also great for emergency swerves under hard breaking when a wallaby or possum jumps out in front of you at night !

I have used this forum to find reasons for vibrations on the freelander and I have nearly sorted them all. Thanks again .

You're welcome cobba ;)

Freelander ? Hmmmmmm:scratching_chin: Proper Land Rovers are available down under you know:welcome2::welcome2:

Thanks for the welcome guys and yes I suppose other "proper " Land rovers are available here in abundace , this baby was spotted at side of road at a bargain price $5500 . I snapped it up , my mechanic said ....Ooooh its a good buy.
So for once I thought I hadn't bought a lemon.
Live and learn later.....$1400 for thermostat and spark plugs and hose replacements , then chasing vibration problem....I replaced rear centre diff mount.... then $1600 tailshaft repair and balance .....and now have just done by myself , replaced 3 x engine mounts, which was the cause (as far as I can see ) of damage and vibration.
I need to say here that all you guys supported me with all your chatter and help to each other so that I did the engine mounts my little Ol self. Mechanic wanted $1200 , I did it for $360 with parts from Britcar. They are bloomin excellent with their service.
