Morning, manual gearbox is making a droning noise and when you go from 3rd to 4th it kicks it back out of 4th, when car has done a few miles and warmed up it gets hard to change gear and even reverse the car, is is nakered or can i put new bearings in it?

I don't think it's a diy job but fitting a good second hand one would be cheaper

The gearbox definitely isn't an easy DIY rebuild. Stripping it for repair requires special tools and measurements, l the latter not generally available.

A second hand gearbox is cheap enough, so it's easier to simply replace it.
