And having now had the pleasure of meeting young Austin, I'm sure we
can say - with some degree of confidence, that no 101 could be better
filled...

As a total aside, I reckon this ere 'Welsh do' should be summat of a
laff if we can get Austin to bring his mum - especially as she has the
right mindset and some history. 10 mins behind the wheel of a 101
should get her bending Austins ear enough to go bidding... :)

Well it is not a Scammell explorer is it. No the extra axle just freewheels,
it is there for lowering the axle load and increasing the weight bearing
capacity.

As to why the third axle was at the front in Lady Penelope's Rolls Royce is
anybody's guess but then there was always the Bedford VAL coach wasn't there
with two steering axles at the front

Seen that in action at Shellsey Walsh. Unfotunately something went wrong
with it and it crashed, but not too seriously.

And the Artillery sized Drops have 4 wheel steering and 8 wheel drive.

Sorry for the rigmarole, If I want spam, I'll go to the shops

Maybe because Lady Penelope was top heavy (in need of a pair of support
devices) and thin at the rear?
(pun intended)
Take care
