Hi all.

I know there are many threads on many aspects of this but I would like a bit of advice on the replacement.

Mine seems to have developed a fault between no 2 and 4 cylinder and i'm going to carry out the work myself.

Generally, if anyone has any tips or advice it would be greatly received.

Also, whats the feeling on replacing just the one bank or would you do both at the same time??

Thanks in advance :)

Its a lot of work stripping down just to do one gasket, plus if one's gone the other won't be much better.

I've now removed both heads.

The misfire fault sticks out like a sore thumb - Blown gasket between 2 and 4 cylinder.

What is a bit concerning though is that the right hand rocker cover internals were covered in oil/water emulsion. The head gaskets look fine between the oil and water galleries.

The liners are all level and show no sign of movement so how is the coolant leaking into the oil?
