Hi All,

My RRC has a Gemini 3003 alarm system fitted along with the Gemini 2243 Window Closing Module.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of the manuals for each of these?

When I bought the Rangie back in October last year the previous owner did not have any remotes and did not use the system at all. However recently both the passenger side front and rear electric windows have become erratic. Some days they will work fine whilst others I get nothing at all. Both windows on the drivers side are fine.

It was only when I moved the cubby box inner out of the way to check the wiring and switches that I discovered the 2243 module. All the window switches are routed through this module. Trouble is I am no electrician and have no idea how this things works and whether this is the cause of my window problems.

The car is a 1988 3.5 EFI.

Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Trevor.

Hi.
Have you tried going on gemini's website or tried their customer services to see if they still might have any information. It's a long shot but maybe worth a try. Also if you can get a good colour photo of the wiring so i can see possibly how its plumbed in and post it i might be able to help. If it was here i could do it for you (take out the module and alarm) but it's a tad far.

Cheers, Nick.

Hi Nick

I have tried the Gemini website and e-mailed their customer services but no luck.

All the wires from the window switches go to the 2243 module and then under the centre console. The only way I know the 3003 alarm is there is by the siren speaker under the bonnet.

Whereabouts are you? I am in Burton on Trent and don,t mind travelling.

Cheers

im a spark / alarm installer by trade mate.... i don't have much on gemini but they all do the same. i tend to do laserline / toad..

the window closer 8 wires for the windows and 3 wires for the conection to the alarm. normaly red for live black for earth and white for - / +12-trigger
if the closer is playing up the easyist way the pair up the windows is to go behind the switches and see. the cut on RR is the Positive cut. ie cut the up wire. one side supplies the the 12v to the motor the other compleats the curkit.... i hope this makes sence.
i will post diagrams for the RR fitting so you can trace wires tommorrow when i get 5 mins

regards
mick
