L322 Gearbox Swap

Hi, I have a 2003 L322 TD6 with a fauly gearbox.
I have found a gearbox and transfer box from a 2006 3.6 TD V8.
What are the difficulties in fitting that to my TD6 engine.
The gearbox is marked *h427000AA and the transfer box 4h227k680CA

I don't believe it's been done, or indeed possible.

Well the td6 is a bmw straight 6 engine mated to a GM gearbox and the 3.6 tdv8 made by ford jaguar mated to ZF gearbox so who knows what will be different, bellhousing pattern, input shaft, electronic control-ecu set up.
anything is possible with enough time and money but is it worth it
