Gear Stick Gaiter - Connection

Good Afternoon

I've just replaced my gear stick gaiter as the old one looked pretty shabby

My question is how do I connect the top of the gaiter to the Gear Knob ??

The old one was held on by a cable tie

With a cable tie inside. Fit the new gaiter to gearstick cable tie to hold it then fold it over on itself and fit to bottom.

Ok push that down through the wood surround until it's inside out, put over gear lever and attache with a cable tie on what will be inside face. Then push everything down over gear lever so it is right side out. Job done.
