Had a new clutch installed after my clutch fork broke. All well and good.

Drove it home and the gear lever now rests between 1st and 2nd, not 3rd and 4th like it normally did.

Any ideas if this is something simple, or should I take it back?

it's a 300tdi, with an R380

look at the turret under the gear lever, they probably knocked a spring off the lower lever

I had a look, at the moment both springs look ok. Both are in contact with the sides of the stick if i move it to 3/4. So might just be a question of tension. I will take a proper look later when I have some to get everything open.
you can still get all gears ,just the testing point has altered?

If it’s anything like the LT77 you can adjust the gear stick movement to some degree by adjusting the bias plate (I think it’s called). Have a look at Ashcroft’s website as they have instructions how to do it for the LT77 and I’m assuming for your box as well

Finally got round to sorting it all out.

The springs were fine, both connected and unbroken.

Had me scratching my head for a bit, until I noticed that the plate that sits ontop of the spring bottoms was sitting at an angle. It had been tightened 'crooked' and so I loosened it off, moved it flat (put put the gear stick into 5th) and tightened it all up. Now works great.
