Been noticing that the gear lever is feeling a bit slack lately so stripped down the lever and checked the turret etc and noticed a little bit of wear on each component adding up to the slack/worn feel. Started checking out prices for all the parts when i come across the Syncro Gearbox site and the Slickshift. Now I`m the first to admit that my 19j is no bundle of fire but just wanted a nicer gear-change. I ordered the Slickshift bundle which includes the Turret, this arrived Friday and i fitted it this morning. Brilliant piece of kit, gear changes are very positive and a joy to drive, well worth the money.

What’s actually different about the synchro bits compared to the original?
There`s an aluminium spacer that goes under the Turret and the pivot pin is longer at the bottom which has the effect of giving the gear lever a shorter throw for the same effect at the gear selector shaft end. the rest of the parts are the same as normal
not a lot really, longer lever at the bottom to give shorter gear lever throw and a spacer to go under the housing. It came as a complete kit so had everything to do the job.
