Ive had my TD5 about 6 weeks. When I bought it it was pointed out that the backend of the gearbox had a bit of an oil weep, not much of a thing but an oil weep none the less. However I have noticed today that where it has rained over the patch where it has been parked for the last few weeks the oil is starting to show, one assumes this is from the gearbox type thing.

I have noticed that Its a bit awkward to get fisrt gear from standing, not a pig but just awkward sometimes. Is this normal? Or could it be as a result of loosing G.box oil?

Next, How do I check the level of oil in the gearbox?
If so how fill? do i need fill?

Errr, If it's as simple as a gasket weeping would it be prudent to nip it up or would that make a total balls of things?

or is it "they do that!" and its part of landy life!

Any answers would be appreciated.
cheers all!
