Gear Box Fault Help.

I have yet another problem i could do with some advice on, following a couple of days of poor starting i got a gear box fault message and car cut out.

And now keep doing it, has anyone any idea where to start with this.

It is also is taking about 30 seconds of cranking to start it is a diesel but has always been a good starter.

any help would be appretiated.

Have you checked the battery?? How old is it and what voltage are you getting from it??

Also check the leak off pipes under the plastic cover on top of the engine for signs or splitting and perishing.

I had gearbox failure coming up all the time mine turned out to be earth prob. Put in 2 new earths no more fault

the battery is about 6 month old, i will check the voltage, i have also noticed that there looks like air in the fuel line and im sure i have not seen this before.
any ideas???
