Gauges wont work.

Rebuild of the S2a is near complete.
However neither the water temp or fuel work - the needles dont move.
12v system neg. earth.
Complete new wiring. New volage regulator.
If I removing the sender wire and connect to earth the appropriate gauge reads max.
Fuelsnder I found to be green contacts inside, cleaned it up,checked that the resitance changes as the float arm moves and it did. Reconnect but still nothing. Added an additional earth wire from the float mounting screw.

So I is now stuck - going to check the polarity of the Votage Stabiliser to see if I have it wired back to front.

Any other tips? I've order new temp. sender.
