As title (mirrors just the glass won’t move), V plate xdi l series. Both are not working when I bought the Freelander last week and I didn’t get the handbook with the fuse numbers in. I am presuming the fuses are blown if not are they any other common faults for these to break?

I had the same fault on my 04 FL sport and it was under warranty. I spoke to the mechanic briefly and he said fuse was o.k. they replaced the mirror switch to fix it. be careful to get correct switch...mine has the folding mirrors so switch had to match.

If you register for free on the LandRover TOPIx web-site:

TOPIx - TOPIx

then type in your VIN number, you can get all sorts of info about your vehicle - build date, recalls etc.

On the owners' pages you have access to Driver's Manuals for every LandRover ever built (they say).

Also detailed fitting instructions for all genuine LandRover accessories.

On the same site you can also access the Dealer's databases and workshop manuals I believe - but they are by subscription.

Enjoy.

Thanks a lot for that, very helpful. Fuses are ok though not good :( (They were not the fuses mentioned about they was a table behind on the plastic cover I didn’t realise about) Any more ideas on the heated rear screen?

Does the fuse have voltage going to it? If so, disconnect the rear screen an test there. If you don't get voltage at some point, trace it back until you do.
