Been having a play about with getting this wired up this weekend.
Things I've learned:
The wheel mounted buttons produce the following on a multimeter:
Pos'n 1: 400 ohms
Pos'n 2: 800 ohms
Pos'n 3: 1600 ohms
Pos'n 4: full continuity
With 2 wires coming from the rotary coupling for this item.
The thin rectangular multiplug going to the rear of the R770 head unit has 3 internal positions used and 1 external earth strap that interface with the remote screen (most obvious haha) leaving 4 positions vacant.
Bridging the middle 2 positions seemed to blow the head unit fuse though I cant rule out operator error here. with the top 2 or mixed with bottom 2 dont provide any extra insight on getting these buttons working.
I guess what I'm asking is if someone with working steering wheel audio controls can get a jpeg of this multiplug going into the head unit so I can wire mine up the same.
Thanks for reading and for any help
Roy.
