Fuel tank breather

Hi All
Fitted one of the extra 45L fuel tanks to out 110. The filler neck breather pipe was corroded and broke off. So need to create a new breather that lets air in/out of the original tank
What I tried already is a one way valve from a motorbike. Wasn't best setup as lots of adapterd its for 6mm pipe to fit pipe the tank's approx 15mm. Then tried a alu swan neck pipe as shown in picture thou for some reason when tank is full small amounts of diesel comes thru it! Even thou its higher than tank..

Anyone knows of a tank breater that would fit a approx 15mm pipe? Could be agricultural or homemade design.

Asked if few garages and they look scared as if asking them about aliens!

How is this set up? Is it set up with a separate filler neck, in which case just get a vented cap and block of the tank breather hole, or is it filled by pumping from the main tank?

The extra tank is gravity feeding the original tank. Extra tank is a DA4545. The breather pipe from original tank in normal cases gets extended to fit around new tank and onto the origimal fuel filler neck. Photo shows the filler neck before the breather part broke off due to rust. Rest of filler is ok so was hoping to get a generic breather instead of buying new filler neck and rather awkward to fit with new tank in place

The extra tank is gravity feeding the original tank. Extra tank is a DA4545. The breather pipe from original tank in normal cases gets extended to fit around new tank and onto the origimal fuel filler neck. Rest of filler is ok so was hoping to get a generic breather instead of buying new filler neck and rather awkward to fit with new tank in place
If it is gravity fed from the original does it it require a breather as well or does it breath into the original tank? If so the only thing needed is a replacement breather for the original tank. As much of a pain as it is I would recommend just replacing the filler neck. They are not expensive and are readily available second hand. You will need do something with it anyway otherwise it will just leak form where the damaged pipe is.

New extra tank breathes via the fuel filler cap. Most proper option would be a new filler neck, just thinking about the sikaflex that has to be removed as wanted it extra sealed..
Been looking at oneway valves and tank breathers from the link v8250 provided

Edit the one linked above seems to be a vent. Where need a valve. Thinking about trial fitting a oneway valve mounted other way around? Thou then if wading it would let in water..

UsInWorld, this may seem like a silly question, but...if it's just the filler neck breather that's at fault why not simply repair with JB Weld and keep original fittings? JB Weld is a superb chemical metal, readily available and really does do what it says on the tin. I repaired a Jaguar MKII sump over 23 years ago and I know this engine still going very strong with my JB Weld repair. It's genuinely stronger than steel of the same thickness and can be easily profiled.

Let me check the garage where I done my rebuild. I fitted a plastic tank and TDCi filler neck, so should have my old one. Your welcome to it, if I still have it, for the cost of P&P.
