how to replace a land rover freelander 2.0 td4 2001-2006 fuel pressure rail sensor,AA man did a diagnostic check after engine management light came on and the landy went into limp mode.i am a bit new to the freelander td4 so any help would well appreciated cheers.

Might not be the actual sensor - there is an upgraded harness (loom) for the fuel pressure sensor because they fail often.
you could try cleaning the plug/socket contacts .. then smearing them with 'contralube'
( see link in my sig. below post )
the issue is caused by water ingress ..
( you may notice water collecting around the oil filler cap after a downpour )
the voltage over that sensor is really small .. so any corrosion / dirt on the contacts
causes all sorts of running issues ..
be a known issue on the td4 ..
as Grumpy stated .. there's also a harness upgrade available ..
