Hi
I need to change my fuel pump on the Freebie. I bought part number WFX000130 on ebay for £60-ish brand new. On the page it says fully comp with part WFX000190 which I have just found out is in mine.
I got the original part number from the main stealers so I didnt bother ripping up the carpet and unscrewing the panel to make sure it was right. I should have done so.
Unfortunately, the main electrical plug from the wiring loom is a different shape, although its still got the 4 prong sockets. There is no way it will fit the new pump.
Is there an adaptor I can fit between the plug on the loom and the pump? I'd rather not do a return on the pump I have as it will cost a fortune on postage and I really cant afford another one... The cheapest one I can find is nearly double the price and in the US, or £179 from lrdirect.com.
Thanks
Ian
moral: dont believe the part numbers given by stealers - always check them against your actual part...
