Right this is my first post so be gentle...
I noticed what i thought was an oil leak on my drive recently until one day whlst parked on a slope a noticed large puddle of what I thought was thin gearbox oil. Because I'm new to the Feelander I bottled it and let the local garage have a look as I thought it was the drive shaft oil seal.
The mechanic identified the leak straight away as a diesel leak and whipped the engine shroud off - There it was a pool of fuel around the injector. The mech tweeks the injector and replaces all the fuel return hoses. One week later the fuel leak is back and the braided hose has split pooring fuel own the block, out comes mech and again replaces the hoses. Now tonight wife rings in foul mood as pipe splits again wasting another £20 of fuel down the front of the engine. I have a look for myself and replace the split hose with a spare the mech left me.
My question is this - could this be poor replacement parts, a heavy handed mech with long nose pliers or is there an underlying issue someone has experienced before i.e. some kind of over pressure? I have had the the thing for a year and so far 'touchwood' it's been okay.
