Series 3 Fuel guage - Does these signs tell you something?

Before posting my question I searched the forums but did not find anything similar so sorry if this is another fuel guage question.
1. My fuel guage shows just a litte bellow empty when tank is empty and 3/4 when completely full.
2. As I use the car and fuel goes down the guage goes down evenlly till it reaches a little bellow empty

Does these signs tell you anything as what the source of problem is?

I keep a watch on km and usually do 210-200 km on a standard tank (My landy is 2.25 petrol).

I have a similar problem, but mine will get up to half on the gauge when the tank is full. Will be interesting to see what the solution is.

Bend the float arm down a bit.

Thanks for the reply guys. I am going to try bending the float first. I am not very handy with electrical matters. Connecting some wire to my tank might result in having to collect the neigbors cows from top of lamp posts

Before that make sure the voltage is up to scratch. I had trouble with mine and ignored it till the new alternator went in and it cured itself.
