Ive just picked up a commercial 300tdi disco and the seller advised me the gauge had got lazy and was just reading empty (with light illuminated) clocks were all cracked up on the plastic so changed with a good spare.
So far I have:
Checked the resistance on the sender - it hovers around 60.
Changed the clocks as per above.
Cleaned a connection up in rear wheel arch.
I haven’t pulled sender yet as I need to go out and can’t smell of diesel . My understanding was if she’s got resistance on sender then that should be ok.
Any tips for next moves appreciated. Don’t want to take her out without knowing fuel levels
