I put a piece of net over as a filterJust run the fuel pump relay for a good few seconds. The only risk of pre-filling filters is if there is anything on the funnel or can your filling from drops into the filter.... Straight in there...

Before you post reply hit upload a file then press camera, take picture or go to files and choose which to upload this is from memory so trial and error.Iv come across two filters ,one has a metal plate in the screw hole the other was just open..wish i could do pictures..... still got one with no plate on the store shelf ,it fits the same but does not have a nut like shape at the bottom ,just round iv never pre filled filters it should self bleed with a bit o cranking,but everyone to there own
