front window problems

hi everyone
i have a problem with my electric windows
i press the button to send the window down and it sticks after going down about an inch then the other day there was a load clicking niose and the window went down but wont go back up
how many cables are there on the window system
i can only see 2 but have also found what looks to be a outercable casing in the door as well
should there be 2 0r 3 cables and is it easy to fix cheers aidy90

Hi..forget trying to fix the cables...just invest in a new window mech complete...its worth it (£90) and they are easy to install yourself,,took me about 35mins from start to finnish..and the window didnt need to come out either as the instruction CD said!.
