Ok, 2002 Td4, having only owned one since July...and now having experienced some dark wet yucky nights.
l'm looking for the best way to put some extra illumination on the front end so i can see those puddles and avoid them.
(dont want my doors falling off, now do i?)

was there ever a nice easy way of doing it with a proper LR part ?
are there any grill mounts or anything like that ?

I have seen the official LR frontfogs switch...but what did the official front lights look like and where did they go.

I have seen a couple of LR mounting brackets...but they always seem to want to mount on an A-bar or something.

what do people normally do ?
(a big head torch ?, drive in daylight ?)

...on the subject of A-bars...
why is it that a lot of them seem to be incompatible with the TD4 or the V6?

Cheers.
:)
Rich.

if you take the front bumper off, you should find a template embossed into the back of the bumper showing you where to cut to fit genuine land rover spots/fogs. or you could use the lamp pod system, which was genuine land rover too. keep searching for piccies, and you'll see what I mean.

search for G13SJC's avatar and there is a corking example

Oh yes....G13SJC...
more lights than blackpool.
bet his doors never fall off.

so it can be done..it might be a bit of a bodge,
specially if i am the one who does it.

http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/ has loads of information about fitting kits/brackets etc.

though they dont seem to have any instructions for making sense of the instructions :)

if my next post is 'anyone got a spare bumper ?'
you'll know i've cocked up.

Thanks.
Rich.

FBH ? - Fuel Burning Heater.

i'm pretty sure i dont have one as i was offered one, but declined.
a mate bought it to fit and never did.

i thought it fitted by/in the wheel well area?
how does it stop the lights fitting then.

mate,

when i bought my motor i wanted the fog lights retro fitted. I have the FBH.

I was told there is no way you can retro fit (with or without FBH) so they charged me over £400 to fit fog lights that are on the pods in the black section of the bumper.

I so would have prefered the flush mounted ones !
