Hi Folks.

Have been looking at getting some new front flexis for the P38 as they are starting to show a bit of corrosion and general age.
Have been looking online for the right 1s, then remembered where somebody on here got some that didn't come with brackets, also do they include the "banjo" bolt and new washers. Cant find it in search so it was maybe hidden in a fred and not the subject, So any help or suggestions appreciated:).

So as getting bits here is not always easiest want to make sure I get it right with everything first time:).

Looking at Paddocks & LR Direct cos they seem to take care of the custom/duty side on checkout which is a bit helpful. Any preference between these 2?

So what 1s have peeps been using that were complete and which 1s should I avoid;).

Starting the basket now as got a few other bits to get at the same time;).

Cheers

Order has been placed. Hopefully Paddocks have got it right and I wont have to fill in a bunch of forms to get it through customs.

Ordered a couple of other bits while there to make it worth/fill the cardboard box;).

I never pay postage from paddocks/island. Make up the order with consumables like engine service kits, wiper blades etc.

If the customs stuff is taken care of, I have no issue with paying for courier cost its also the most reliable delivery method here.
I did chuck in an autobox filter and seals;)
Its just 1 of them things living here and owning a LR product, parts are not always easily available, I did look at Euro 4x4 but they didnt have the parts I wanted.

Flossie had the kit without the bits, I had BP came with all the gubbings. was wary due to the price but they were decent. Hardest part was getting the old clip bolts out of the chassis (no new supplied in kit)

Nah, I had 5 BP and 1 something else(top brand but no banjo, horse shoe clips, washers) because they had run out of britpart rears at island so sent a substitute. I ordered another britpart rear from paddocks.

Also short of horse shoe clips with the two short hoses at the rear(later model) even though they were britpart too. Got a pack of 5 clips iirc off eBay.

I used the stainless steel braided ones from Britpart but cannot recall now what was in the kit. It may only fit the earlier models with 1 exhaust?

That’s good to know, I will dig out my customs number incase:). It should come DHL and have dealt with them before to get my own number so fingers crossed;).

Early oil burners (first 2 years) only had 1. Not sure about early petrols. Brake line layout was different at the rear.

I had heard of some peeps mention some petrol's with a single pipe but never seen. But thats some good info to store in the brain cells as sure the rears will get done next year thx:)

I got stung on an order from Island 4 x 4, about 2 weeks after delivery, I got an invoice from DHL for VAT, Duty and handling charges that almost doubled the cost of the parts:mad:
