Freelander 1 Front Cross Member Removal?

Hello I have a Freelander 2005 and I'm looking for a little help and advice.

Took the towing eye cover off and my front cross member is rotten. I can't take the bumper off until I go to my dads at the weekend, so I was wondering if anybody had experience with them. Is it bolted in place or welded?
If it can be removed from the car I can weld it at work but if it has to be welded in place its more of an issue for me.

Got one in the yard with no bumper. Will post photo but that is part of car shell I think.

Cheers, appreciate it. I'm expecting as much. So I'll probably have to borrow a welder so I can do it on the drive.

Do you remember how thick the metal was? I know I can get a winch tray that I assume fits to that so it must be quite tough.

Don't know sorry - not a 5 minute job to take the skin off either.

You'd have thought it was pretty robust going by its mounts.
