Front brake calipers

Hi.
All,have not long bought a 2001 landy/freelander 1.8 petrol low mileage for year 56000.
Bit of a prob,with the front calipers,decided to fit new ones as i cant remove the bleed nipples on them,even with heat,have a new pair,and bought new guide pin kit ,but noticed they are different lengths ? never looked when taking the old ones off.
Can anyone help as its driving me nuts,does not tell you in the haynes book.
Any help appreciated.

both guide pins are listed as the same part number, have you got the right kit?

Pins should come in complete kit, the 2 with rubber sleeve go to the bottom.

Thanks for the info on the brake caliper pins,when i took the calipers off,just left the pins down and never checked them,the old ones that came off are the very same as the ones in the new kit two short and two long,must be brain dead as the sliding part of the caliper will only go out so far,wht have short and long ones ,still never put on the new calipers till i find out where they go. mines has vented discs on it.
Any help would be appreciated.
