Hello,

How do I remove the front air vents on a TD5 defender?

I've bought some new seals but can't work out how to remove the vent flaps.

Replaced these on my 300 TDI - much easier to get at the bolts if you remove the bonnet first. Also - although the adhesive on the back of the seal (when you remove the backing paper) appears to be very tacky and up to the job, in reality it's a bit feeble. I used Bostick Impact Adhesive to add some umph otherwise they can easily unstick or move from the position you put them in.

Better off replacing with series rubber seals in all honesty, rubber actually fills the gap around the flaps and looks better, I did it on my last Defender just can't remember what glue I used. Rubber ones last longer than the foam ones too.
