I know this is something covered fairly regularly but I can’t find anything that explains the routing of the wiring for the side lights in a way I can understand.
I just bought a 110 with what I was told no working rear side lights. Turns out front side lights are out too. Apparently an autoelectrician has been working on the car and there are signs but the wiring is a serious birds nest.

My point: I have power for side lights at the switch on this 1988 110. Looks like red is power onto the switch and brown is for side lights. This goes into the dash. There’s no power for side lights at the fuse box so I guess the problem is between the two. What is the routing of the cabling please and is there somewhere I can find colours for the side lights throughout the vehicle? I’m struggling a bit

all brown are a battery live ,white ignition live
circuit goes brown live to switch the red to fuse the red/black and red/orange to lamps

Yeah, sorry I don’t think I was clear. I just meant I assumed there should be one red wire from switch to fuse box but it seems it must be jointed somewhere as the wire is a different thickness when it gets to fuse box. I’m thinking to just cut it out and put in a new one. Is this stupid?
