While looking around the FREELANDER section of this site i've noticed that there is a lot of p**s taking out of the vehicle.
lets not forget that the FREELANDER had no development work and was rushed out by BMW shortly after they bought LANDROVER. Yes i know that the petrol have problems with head gaskets but the later gasket (mutishim) is fitted along with thermostat conversion the problem is sorted. Also at the first sign of slowing down on full lock the center viscous should be replaced. The TD4 engine is the best option to buy but i've seen a few that have benn condemned by garages that don't no the engine just because the engine breather filter is blocked.
Lets not forget that a R reg mondeo by now will be knackered.
Yes i know that they have their problems but i think that we could be more helpful to FREELANDER owners
