Wondered if any body has changed the tailgate handle on their Freelander2 from the early one to the face-lift unit? The tailgate handle unit on my 59 plate XS has been smashed off the tailgate when my brother unhooked a fully loaded trailer from the tow ball. The hitch flicked up and wipped the handle off the tailgate.
I have searched for a used unit but they seem thin on the ground. And I don't fancy paying £320 plus vat for a new one. I've found a few of the newer face-lift units on Ebay but wondered if they just bolt on or is there modifications needed to the tailgate. Anyone had any experience with this?
