freelander will only start with a tow

i have a freelander 1.8 2000 on x it has been great no problems with it i got home from work no problems went to start it the next day it just turned over and over checked plugs spark ok and damp with petrol got it towed to start drove for 20 miles ok went home wont start next day any ideas

sounds like you need to replace the cam sensor.

Hi had the same problem with mine fuel at plugs and spark but would not start, check the connections on the coil the small two wired connector and ht lead. i removed and cleaned coil checked it had resistance across its terminals put it back on started first time failing this it may be the crank sensor. let us know how you get on..
